Kelsey performed her original music at The Gin Mill on the Upper West Side. Kelsey played a 45 minute set, accompanied by her Producer and collaborator Brandon Miller, Ryan Henderson on drums, and Anastasia Lallos on bass. Kelsey knew her passion for performing was fated to turn into her career when she was the only Oompa Loompa that got to say lines in a park district performance of Willy Wonka. Since that ~inspiring~ role at age 7, Kelsey continued to find her place on the stage. Originally from the Chicagoland area, she was exposed to incredible theatre and training throughout her adolescence. Kelsey is a graduate of
The Boston Conservatory, receiving a BFA in Musical Theatre with a songwriting emphasis. She currently resides in New York City, writing and performing her own music, while continuing to pursue her theatrical career.
Off Stage
Kelsey's drive stems beyond the creative and into the responsibility of advocacy and equity. As an artist, she approaches her work through a lens of human connection and empathy. Kelsey is a performer, but most importantly, a storyteller, and she is determined to use her voice to take action that will benefit those whose voices need to be lifted. In 2020 Kelsey fell in love with political organizing, phone banking for Planned Parenthood Votes for 4 months leading up to the election. In the 2024 Kelsey worked for Relentless Votes, organizing for the state of North Carolina. She is eager to volunteer for the NYC Mayoral election this fall in support of Zohran Mamdani.
